What is furries flag?

The furry flag is a symbol that represents the furry fandom, a subculture of people who have an interest in anthropomorphic animals or "fursonas." The flag was created in 2012 by designer Tigerpaw and consists of six horizontal stripes in shades of brown, orange and white.

Each color has its own significance:

  1. Dark Brown Stripe: Represents furries who relate to animals with darker fur, such as bears.

  2. Light Brown Stripe: Represents furries who relate to animals with lighter-colored fur, such as wolves or foxes.

  3. White Stripe: Represents furries who do not relate to any specific fur color.

  4. Orange Stripe: Represents creativity and uniqueness within the fandom.

  5. Darker Orange Stripe: Represents the enjoyment of adult/sexual content within the furry fandom.

  6. Center Circle: Represents the unity of the furry fandom.

The furry flag has become a recognizable symbol of the furry community and is often flown at furry conventions and events. The flag is also used to identify furry-friendly spaces and businesses.
